This Bright Oak Lazy Susan measures 15 1/2” across 17” tip to tip and 2” high. This lazy susan has 8 kinds of wood, all the natural colors. There are 464 pieces in the overlay, 136 diamonds and 328 triangles. The type of wood used is listed on the bottom from the center out. On this lazy susan, starting from the center is (1) Tulipwood and (2) Satinwood from Brazil, (3) Purpleheart from Central or South America, (4) Hackberry from Missouri, (5) Ziricote from Mexico, (6) Tree Of Heaven from the US but native to China, (7) Wenge from West Africa, and (6) “Oak” from Missouri.
The pattern is based on the Lone Star quilt pattern. The design extends over the edge to within ¼” of the table top it sits on. The stationary base is hidden on the inside, behind the edge.
