Handcrafted cheese slicing boards, made from rare wood from Africa.
These boards are made from Brazilian Purple-heart. When this wood arrives at our shop, it's gray. We plane it down to a smooth surface, sand it numerous times then set it outside to let it oxidize and get it's purple color. Once the color becomes vibrant, we put our finish on quickly. If we wait too long, the purple turns back to a more modest gray. These pieces are truly purple and beautiful. They measure at 11 x 7 and come mounted on rubber feet with stainless steel screws.
