These handcrafted wine bottle stoppers are made from two exotic woods from around the world.
The Bloodwood (Muirapiranga, Satine Rubane, Cardinal Wood) is a tree found in Brazil. Its dense heartwood (specific gravity of 1.15 when dry) is commonly called bloodwood due to its striking red color. The sapwood is easily distinguished by its yellowish-white color. The wood has a fine texture and takes a high polish. The wood is very hard and has a tendency to blunt tools.
Upper Section. Approx: 2 inches
The diamondwood (tropical hardwood) 3 times harder the Ironwood and 7 times harder than Cedar. This wood also has tendency to blunt wood working tools.
Middle Section: Approx 1 inch
Chrome Base : 2 3/4 inches
