Custom-made "One of a Kind" Humidor is made from Paduak (Pterocarpus soyauxii) also called Vermillion; this decorative hardwood originates in Africa and the Andaman Islands, with one major variety native to Burma. This wood is naturally red to orange in color and sometimes there will be dark streaks running thru it. Works well, is used for furniture, flooring and architectural accents and "one of a kind" boxes of all kinds. Who says there are no red trees! The top is made from Santos Rosewood with series of "Book-matched" pieces with the light color being sap wood. This gives it the effect of a river running through it. The wood on both sides of the Santos Rosewood is American Sycamore and banding front and back edges is Bloodwood. This Chest was build so the grain "wraps" around the Chest and matches on all four corners, matching three is easy, but matching four took me a long time to figure out. Completely lined with Spanish Cedar. Dividers slide in grooves to make size adjustments easy and secure. Only first quality, solid brass hinges are used. This is a medium size humidor and has a full lift out tray with storage in the bottom and will hold 25 to 35 cigars. Humidor comes complete with a custom Humidifier and Hygrometer. See Humidor Care on site for set-up and care. Every box I build gets 6 to 8 coats of polyurethane oil finish that is "Hand Rubbed" to give them the best finish possible. This unique "One-of-a-Kind" Humidor is signed and dated. There is a full lift-out tray with storage below, with adjustable dividers. This Humidor will become a family heirloom to be passed on to generation to generation, I hope.
