My great-grandfather came from Wales in 1893 when he was 18 years old to work in a shipyard in Massachusetts. That makes me a third-generation Welsh-American! My mother is even now telling me who my ancestors were and how they were half this, or half that. Where we all come from is vitally important to us as a species, because it allows us to see where we've been, what we went through and possibly where we are going as a result.
My husband (who is not Welsh at all) designed this adaptation of the Welsh flag for a lazy susan. It is 15" in diameter and has been wood burned then hand painted, then varnished repeatedly to protect the surface.
